Amazing people pictures is a boutique family run business
(Husband and Wife), creating features films based in Sydney,
Australia. The company was started by Michael Budd
(Director-Actor) with its vision to help Australia produce
outstanding films that are out-of-the-box, compared with most
films typically produced in Australia. We want people to be
surprised by Australian film again. Over the last twenty years,
a very definite picture has built up in people's heads with
regards to what an Australian-based movie is And we believe
Australian-based Film and TV talent has so much more to offer
Michael Budd is part of a new generation of talented cinematic
creatives working in feature film. Before setting-up Amazing
People Pictures, Michael acted in many major motion pictures
including, The Matrix Reloaded and he has starred in The
Cold Light of Day, with Bruce Willis and Henry Cavill.
Michael is compelled to take risks and explore new artistic
territory, with each film he Produces and Directs.

Michael Hamish Budd is an Award winning Australian film Actor, Director and Producer. Best known for playing Esmael, alongside Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) and Sigourney Weaver in The Cold Light of Day A film which also starred Bruce Willis. Michael originally grew up on the eastern suburbs of Sydney his first break on a motion picture came when he was asked to body double and stand in for Laurence Fishburne on Matrix 2/3- After working on the production for over 200 shoot days and paying the up most attention to the process the directors Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski saw something in Michael and cast him as Zion Controller.
Michael became fascinated with acting and film making styles and after traveling the world for a years he landed then studied in London where he was mentored under a second generation Meisner tutor (Scott Williams) and the teachings of William Ball after graduating from the Meisner technique with the Impulse Company in 2010 he played on stage in works of Chekhov and Shakespeare and Mamet plays. He has appeared in numerous television commercials, including Freeview (UK) with Gordon Ramsay, as well as starring in a music video for Roll Deep. His television work includes Hotel Babylon and The Bill.
